Monticello, WI 53570
This year again, there are categories for garage sale merchandise, making it much easier to hunt down specific needed items.
Forms are due back at the Village Hall, with a $6 registration fee before noon on Friday, September 3rd . This is not a fund raising event for MBPA, as the fee just covers expenses.
A MAP of each garage sale will be created for the event, along with a spreadsheet showing every name, address, and categories of merchandise offered. Many copies are distributed throughout Monticello at local businesses as well as the garage sale homes. Again in 2010 the Monticello Community Center (the former American Legion) is available for those vendors interested in a central location. Also invited to use the facility were home party consultants (Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Avon, etc.), local gardeners with produce to sell, etc.

Monticello Village-wide Garage Sale
Monticello Business & Professional Association Sponsored Garage Sale
MBPA is the sponsor of an annual community-wide Garage Sale held the 2nd Saturday in September. It truly is a community event, with dozens of garage sales and hundreds of garage “sailors.” Combined with a Taste of Monticello, participants can enjoy specials on Main Street and re-energize for more bargain hunting.
There are some exciting changes for 2010!
- The Community-wide Garage Sale will be held on BOTH Friday and Saturday, September 10 & 11th.
- We are happy to announce that Green County Humane Society will be on hand Saturday at the Monticello Community Center-American Legion Hall. Please consider stopping by to see them and adopting a homeless pet.
- Bake Sale on Saturday at the Monticello Community Center-American Legion Hall, sponsored by the Washington Center 4H Club
On Saturday, the Community Center is reserved for entrepeneurs that would like to set up a booth. We welcome all home sales associates in addition to independent entrepreneurs. Space is available for home party consultants, such as Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, Avon, Stanley, etc. Any interested consultant is welcome, though preference will be given to local residents. Please contact Wanda at WJWilkinson@kw.com or by calling (608) 219-8480. Local gardeners and farm market vendors are encouraged to join in also.
